Goddess Hoop Dance Class
Saturday, June 8th at 8:45AM
Two Left Feet, 194 Diablo Rd., Danville, CA

Hoop classes assist you in not only hooping on your waist but hips, legs and shoulders. We also go off-body. With the hoop as our dance partner, we notice more grace in our movements and begin to discover our own dance. Confidence soars as you step into your own rhythm. Hoop dance is seriously fun! $20 drop-in fee per class.

"Romeo and Juliet"
Saturday, June 8th at 7PM
Flax Art & Design in Oakland, 1501 Martin Luther King, Jr. Way

In a world of violence, what does it cost to choose love? The Capulet and Montague families are caught in a decades-long feud -- and their children are caught in the crucible of adolescence. As societal expectations clash with youthful rebellion, stakes that started high soon become deadly. Directed by Susannah Martin, Shakespeares best-known tragedy asks incisive questions about the consequences of entrenched power, inherited expectations, and cycles of retribution. This unique staging takes audiences into the world of "VerOakland" in this immersive theatrical experience.

Pride Sunset Cruise
Saturday, June 8th at 6PM
2 Broadway, Oakland, CA

Don't miss PLAY on The Bay's Pride Edition happening Saturday, June 8th! Breathtaking views of The Bay and DJ Rockaway rockin' the boat! Early bird special through May 31st - $40. General boarding $60. Departing out of Jack London Square in Oakland (behind Scott's Seafood).

Saturday, June 8th at 7:30PM
Lake Merritt United Methodist Church, 1255 First Avenue, Oakland

The current iteration of the Slavyanka Russian Men's Chorus will join with Slavyanka Russian Chorus alumni and Yale Russian Chorus alumni from around the country to celebrate Slavyanka’s 40 years *and* Russia’s timeless tradition of male singing! Spiritual hymns, boisterous folk songs, and much more!

Saturday, June 8 at 10AM
867 Island Dr., Alameda

Join us for a relaxing walk along the Shoreline Park path with beautiful views of the Alameda shoreline and San Francisco. After about 2 miles or so, we'll turn into one of the canal paths that run through the center of Bay Farm Island. They're tree-lined paved paths that follow the canals through the rear of housing developments. This area is also a bird sanctuary with black-crowned night herons, great egrets and snowy egrets, coots, cormorants, and canvasback, bufflehead and mallard ducks.

The Sunflower Run
Sunday, June 9th at 8AM
652 Main Street, Pleasanton

This event benefits Sunflower Hill, a non profit organization creating a sustainable and intentional residential community for individuals with special needs – similar to senior living.  The community not only supports life-long living opportunities, but social, vocational, educational and recreational programs to ensure a full and productive life.
