Enjoy a day touring Oakland's Rose Garden and Piedmont Mansions. There are plenty of historic sites in Oakland such as the former home of former Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court, Earl Warren, and the former home of the once famous entertainer Al Jolson, who was the star of the first talking movie. Now open for RSVPs. The only cost is $3 cash per adult. Kids free. Meet up is in front of Tierra Mia Coffee, on the corner of Broadway & 20th Street.

Shred415 is a new boutique gym in San Ramon. The class is an instructor led 60-min high intensity interval training workout designed for all fitness levels. The class is split into 4 15-min intervals. The work out will bounce between cardio on the treadmills and strength training on the floor. The class is energetic and a lot of fun! The music gets turned up as the lights get turned down. The class can fit up to 30 people at a time.

Las Trampas Regional Wilderness, Bollinger Canyon Rd


From the Staging Area in Bollinger Canyon the trek will start steeply to spectacular Rocky Ridge and one of the leader's favorite lunch spots in the Bay Area. The return route will take the group to the southern reaches of Rocky Ridge before heading downhill to the trailhead. This loop features stunning views, verdant rolling grasslands and abundant wildflowers. Allow 6.5 hours for this 5.25 mi. hike with about 1100 ft. of total elevation gain. Steady relaxed pace with a 30 min. lunch and other rest breaks. Be prepared for poison oak and warm temperatures.

If you’re looking to grow as an artist, need feedback, or are looking for a new direction, this might be your perfect opportunity. Whether you work with oils, acrylics, watercolors or pastels. You are welcome to drop in and bring your paints and painting with you, or a blank canvas. The class is instructed but relaxed and self-paced, and the instructor will assist you technically, conceptually and compositionally in every way. Dickson Schneider (the instructor) works with each artist individually and the class has all manner of feedback - from assignments to conceptual discussions about your direction, to the particulars of the piece you are making.
