A circus show like no other where our young artists re-interpret your favorite sports - circus style! Juggling! Acrobatics! Stilt Dancing! Balancing Feats and More! Featuring Oakland youth ages 8 - 16 from the Prescott Circus Performance Company from Prescott Elementary School in West Oakland and students from PCT’s after school programs at Lafayette/Martin Luther King, Manzanita Community, Parker, Piedmont Avenue Elementary, and Sankofa Academy.

The Friends of the Pleasanton Public Library will host its Spring Book and Media Sale from March 22-24 in the large meeting room of the library. More than 40,000 donated books of all types from best sellers to biographies to children's picture books will be for sale. There will also be CDs and DVDs available. Visitors can pay with cash, local check, or credit card.

Pamela Rose’s BLUES IS A WOMAN is a new theatrical concert with multi-media, celebrating the powerful contribution women in early Blues gave to American culture. These stories and songs, culled from this country’s most disenfranchised group, black women in the early part of the 1900’s, literally gave voice to the feminist movement and popularized our most enduring art form – the Blues.

This workshop is for kids who are able to ride a bike and ready to take to the paths and roadways with their parents. Bay-Area jazz enthusiasts will be heading to Danville March 24 as The Jazz Room brings Lisa Forkish to the stage. The next featured performer, Lisa Forkish, is an award-winning singer-songwriter, arranger, and self-described “Love Warrior.” Since 2011 she has been Vocal Music faculty at the Oakland School for the Arts where she is the founder and director of the five-time national champion a cappella group, Vocal Rush, which has been seen on NBC’s “The Sing-Off.”

Fair Chance Color Fun Run to Support Students with Special Needs

Run for a good cause at this family-friendly event in Danville on Sunday as it supports people with special needs. But don't miss in on the events happening after the race as you’ll get to have loads of fun in a carnival-like environment with the super enthusiastic volunteers and students. As if that weren’t awesome enough, you also get a super cool t-shirt, and complimentary food and drink samples.
