The Alameda Running Festival incorporates a Half Marathon, 10k, 5k, and Family Fun Run. The event will start and finish in the Alameda Point and highlight several beautiful areas around the island. The event will benefit Alameda Meals on Wheels and the Alameda Education Foundation. The Alameda Running Festival will create a 2-day Expo festival around health and wellness, as well as community involvement including local schools, businesses, charities and fundraising. This year all the running events take place on Sunday.

Come walk a labyrinth in quiet meditation. Walking a labyrinth allows us to apply metaphors into our lives and walking on or near the date of the full moon is a natural time for contemplation. A labyrinth has only one path and unlike a maze, there are no tricks or dead ends to get you lost. There are no right or wrong ways to walk a maze.

We will harvest fresh backyard fruit for donation to local soup kitchens, food pantries, shelters and the food bank. Typical harvests take about 3 hours and travel no more than 25 miles from the starting location. We will have all the necessary equipment, including buckets, picking-poles, ladders, clippers, and crates with us.

We will cover equipment, paddle techniques, trip planning, on land transporting and maintenance and safety. We will develop your boat control as we paddle around the area and practice our new skills. All gear provided, recommended for ages 12+.

Presidio Middle School PTSA is hosting a 5K Run and Fun Run Fundraiser on Sunday, September 15 2019. Participants are encouraged to invite your friends and family to make a pledge per lap completed or give a flat donation to our PTSA. All funds raised return to our school to support our Music Program and keep our Full Time Music Teacher position.
